Growing up I loved spending days with my dog, maybe more than anything else. I always found it very satisfying seeing my content, happy dog curled up by the fire, or on my bed after our adventures exploring the Adelaide Hills. My passion for dogs and seeing them full filled is what drove me to open my first dog walking business. Formerly I established "Doggy Style Walking" in Sydney in 2004. In 2014, that business became “Tails on Trails”. As I wanted to return home to Adelaide I sold this business in 2020 handing it over to an employee. Over the last 18 years working with dogs and animals I have always kept them safe and am very happy that I can say I have an impeccable track record doing this. Dogs and pets have always been well cared for, loved and safe in my care. Over the many years working with dogs, I have gained a great understanding of them. I have also completed study with “The Delta Society of Australia” This relates to animal trick training and obedience training with positive reinforcement. Also gaining a good understanding of health and husbandry of dogs along with First Aid for dogs. I consider myself so fortunate to have been able to work caring for the animals that I love. I have looked after and loved pets all of my life. Growing up in the Adelaide Hills I have had many pets and cared for all types of animals, birds, rabbits, cats, rats, mice, possums, turtles, fish and of course dogs. Having always had a love and fascination of all animals and as the opportunity and need presented I was able to turn my passion for dogs into a successful business in Sydney. My own two dogs had been a part of my own family over 18 years. Unfortunately my oldest boy passed away recently. He was 18 years old. Now, I'm very lucky to have Gus, a Staffy cross Labradore who of course has stolen my heart again. My dogs are like my children so I understand what an important part of our families our dogs and pets are. I feel very lucky that I am able to work with animals and especially dogs. Companionship you receive from a dog is rewarding and like no other. It is a great experience to love and be loved unconditionally. I have a great rapport with all dogs and am sure your pooch will like me. |
